Issue: On the territory of the Community of Communes of the South (CCSud) of Mayotte, many facilities for processing and marketing food products (markets, halls, fishing pontoons) are under study, under construction or already delivered.
The CCSud has entrusted Soliance Alimentaire with a project management assistance mission to develop an organization and management plan for the following facilities
The creation of two fishing halls (building of about 100 m²) in the communes of Kani-Kéli and Bandrélé (village of Nyambadao), the first having been inaugurated in January 2019 and the second being at the study stage; A pontoon for landing is being studied for each of them;
Three covered markets (100 to 300 m²) in the communes of Bandrélé (village of Hamouro), Chirongui and Kani-Kéli;
Two sales points (a few dozen m²) in the communes of Kani-Kéli and Bandrélé (center).
Result: These new tools are part of value chains and marketing systems that needed to be clarified through a diagnosis of the channels. Subsequently, the mobilization of potential users and the municipalities allowed us to define the operating and management methods for each of the equipment. Our partner SPQR also provided insights and recommendations on the management of these facilities at the scale of the intermunicipality.
